“According to preliminary estimates, some politicians and businessmen during the existence of the moratorium appropriated about 5 million hectares of state lands in Ukraine,” UNIAN quotes Zelensky as saying.

He noted that five million hectares is the area of two Crimean peninsulas.

“Of course, we will do everything to return both,” Zelensky added.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is ready to discuss Crimea with the head of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky only within the framework of the issue of cross-border cooperation.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
