The man is convicted of extremely serious drug smuggling and extremely serious and serious drug offenses.
On Monday, the verdict fell in Stockholm District Court.
The man is suspected of being one of the main characters behind an organized and large-scale smuggling operation, which between the summer of 2018 and the spring of 2019 brought large amounts of heroin and cocaine from the Netherlands to Sweden, among other places.
The case is related to a major case in Gothenburg, which has already reached the Court of Appeal.
They are expected in mid-June.
In Gothenburg District Court, 14 people were sentenced to prison, for a maximum of nine years.
The suspected principal was arrested in the Netherlands and handed over to Sweden in February last year.
