A 19-year-old young man from
Huesca
died early this Monday in
Zaragoza
as a result of the blows he received to the head during a fight that occurred in a bar area of the Aragonese capital.
The alleged perpetrator of the attack, 24 years old and of Colombian origin, fled the scene aboard a vehicle, but a series of details offered by witnesses, such as that he was wearing a shirt, allowed the
National Police to
arrest him shortly after.
The investigation remains open and it is not ruled out that there are more arrests among the at least ten participants in the fight.
At 11:00 p.m. this Sunday, a call alerted 091 to a fight that was taking place at the doors of a bar
on Dato Street
in the Aragonese capital, in which about 10 people were allegedly involved.
The discussion would have started inside the premises, increasing violence in the street, where, according to some witnesses, there were bottle blows and punches.
The young man would have received a strong blow to the head and, although he managed to be revived by the emergency services and transferred by ambulance to
the Miguel Servet Hospital
, where he was admitted to the
ICU
in this critical situation, he finally died at dawn from the wounds he suffered after get hit with a bottle.
Complaints from neighbors
This incident occurs on the third weekend of opening of premises after the state of alarm wanes and coinciding with the closure of leisure bars, which in
Zaragoza
, according to regional regulations, must be at 23.00.
It is an area of nightlife bars in which residents have repeatedly denounced insecurity and unhealthy conditions due to the lack of police presence as well as the practice of drinking bottles.
The
Homicide Group of
the
Higher Police Headquarters of Aragon
has undertaken the investigation to try to determine what is behind the attack, since all the hypotheses are open.
