The right to ban dancing on a party floor in Södertälje - court rules

It was in November that the party hall Cristal was banned from dancing.

This after nearly 300 guests had been crowded on the dance floor, according to the environmental office's inspectors.

Following the party floor's appeal of that decision, the Supreme Administrative Court has now ruled that the ban is valid and that the requirement for a fine remains, according to LT.

An extensive dance ban

The chairman of the environmental committee in Södertälje municipality, Lars Greger (MP), tells the newspaper:

"It feels good that we have made decisions that are correct.

But of course there is no joy in making this type of decision. ”

After Södertälje municipality banned dancing on the party floor Cristal in November, a decision was made in December to ban all parties and events in the municipality where dancing, mingling, games or similar activities are arranged.
