The reporter learned from Comrade Yuan Longping’s Funeral Office, the winner of the “Medal of the Republic”, the winner of the title of “Reform Pioneer”, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the director of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center, the sixth to the twelfth CPPCC Standing Committee, the sixth to the Comrade Yuan Longping, vice chairman of the 11th Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, died of illness at the age of 91 in Changsha at 13:07 on May 22, 2021.
A farewell ceremony for Comrade Yuan Longping's remains will be held at the Mingde Hall of Mingyangshan Funeral Home in Changsha City at 10:00 am on May 24, 2021 (Monday).
