Poor pensioner Eili: "We have been blown away"

Eili Hirdman, 80, realized late how much money she would receive in retirement.

She grew up with a pension system that benefited her but changed during the 1990s.

Now she manages due to the fact that she has a partner.

Her own pension, she says, is roughly around the EU poverty standard.

She feels cheated and believes that the current pension system must be fundamentally changed.

- It was a good pension system so we did not think about it.

Now we consider ourselves blown away.

Who could have guessed that they would change everything, she says.
