Several thousand Inter Milan supporters - some 4,000 in front of San Siro and a thousand in the stadium - celebrated the 19th scudetto of the Nerazzurri on Sunday, punctuated by a clear success over Udinese (5-1) as a bouquet final on the last day.

Despite the title in their pocket for a few weeks already, Inter Milan will have made a point of honor to justify their new status as Italian champions.

By pleasing the 1,000 spectators, visibly happy under their masks, admitted to San Siro.

Ashley Young up close (8th) and Christian Eriksen from a free kick (44th) threw the first firecrackers before the break.

Then Lautaro Martinez on a penalty obtained by Achraf Hakimi (55th), Ivan Perisic with a nice strike from the right (64th) and finally Romelu Lukaku with a lot of success, for his 24th goal in the league (71st), concluded the festival. .

The third interior goalkeeper Daniele Padelli, who entered for the second period in place of the holder Samir Handanovic to take advantage of his first minutes of the season, had to bow to a penalty from Roberto Pereyra (79th).

The Nerazzurri, despite this reduction in the score little appreciated by the demanding Antonio Conte, could therefore receive their trophy in the wake of the feeling of duty accomplished at the end of a season where they have only bitten the dust three times.

Before the match, the supporters, present since the end of the morning around the stadium, greeted with songs and smoke the arrival of the coach of the players.

Exceptionally, for this final meeting of the season, a thousand spectators (guests) were admitted to the venue with more than 75,000 seats, a few days after the final of the Italian Cup (Juventus-Atalanta) which marked the return tifosi at the stadium.

Serie A has been held behind closed doors for most of the season, apart from a few matches at the end of September, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Inter won their 19th scudetto this season, eleven years after the last, ending a long reign of Juventus (9 consecutive titles).

It is only a title of the second star on the jersey (each star counting for ten titles), which will most certainly be the goal of next season.

Even if the economic difficulties of Chinese owner Suning still leave some uncertainty about the financial means available to the club next year.

The 38th and last day of Serie A ends Sunday evening with the battle for the Champions League: Milan (3rd), Naples (4th) and Juventus (5th) compete for the last two tickets, to accompany Inter Milan and Atalanta (2nd).
