With her title "Voila", French singer Barbara Pravi finished second in the Eurovision Song Contest which took place from Saturday to Sunday in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Despite a very good performance, Barbara Pravi was beaten by the Italian group Maneskin. She still achieves the best result for France since 1991.
France saw its best opportunity to end a 44-year Eurovision scarcity with the failure of its singer Barbara Pravi, who came only to second place behind the Italian group Maneskin.
Still favorite a week ago, compared to Edith Piaf, she only won with her title "Voila" 499 points against 524 in Maneskin, despite a moving performance and despite the support of many international media.
France has not won the Eurovision Song Contest since 1977, won that year by Marie Myriam.
499 points for #BarbaraPravi.
Second Place.
A beautiful course.
Best ranking for France since 1991. #Eurovision.
