The French men's 4x100m medley qualified for the final, with the second fastest time in the heats, at the European Championships on Sunday in Budapest.

The women's relay did not pass the cut of the playoffs.

Ave Yohann Ndoye Brouard, Théo Bussière, Mehdy Metella and Maxime Grousset, the blue relay completed its race in 3 min 32 sec 50. Only the British were faster (3: 32.48).

In the position of first torchbearer, Ndoye Brouard took the opportunity to improve his personal best over 100 m backstroke by one hundredth, in 52 sec 96, even after an exhausting week punctuated by a bronze medal over the same distance.

The women's 4x100m medley (Cini, Delmas, Wattel and Touati) only swam tenth in the heats (4: 02.43), dominated by the Netherlands (3: 58.67).

Three French people are in contention for the individual finals on Sunday evening for the final racing session in the Hungarian basin: Florent Manaudou and Grousset on 50 m, and Mélanie Hènes on 50 m butterfly, non-Olympic race.

On 400m medley, the young Emilien Mattenet (20 years old) stopped him in the series (4: 22.07, 16th time) for his very first international championship.
