The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and his accompanying delegation.
Haniyeh thanked the Emir of the State of Qatar for Doha’s diplomatic efforts and efforts, which contributed to stopping the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people and reaching calm and a cease-fire in Gaza.
For his part, the Emir of Qatar affirmed Doha's support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, the importance of the unity of the Palestinian ranks, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution, international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
