Already at the press conference late on Saturday night after Måneskin won this year's Eurovision with the song "Zitti e bouni", the singer Damiano Davi was asked if he took drugs live.
- I'm not taking drugs.
Please, do not do that, it's not cocaine, he said then.
The question followed a video that has started circulating on social media, showing how the singer bends his head over the band's table in the Green room.
It got some users to point out that it looks like the Eurovision winner is taking drugs.
"We have nothing to hide"
Davi says he bent over the table because guitarist Thomas Raggi broke a glass.
The EBU is now commenting on the video in a press release, confirming that broken glass was found at the scene and that the singer will take a voluntary test after returning home to Italy.
In a post on Instagram, the band writes that they are shocked by what some say about Damiano Davi.
"We are completely AGAINST drugs and we have never taken cocaine.
We are ready to be tested because we have nothing to hide ", they write.
The EBU also writes that Måneskine requested this already during the final night, but that they could not immediately help with it.
"We are still looking carefully at pictures and will update with additional information in due course", it is also stated in the press release.
