The Syndicate of Journalists mourned the martyr journalist Yusef Muhammad Abu Hussein, who was martyred this morning, Wednesday, after targeting him with Israeli missiles in his residential apartment in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza, and his brother and wife were injured.

The Syndicate offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to his family, Sawt al-Aqsa Radio, which he works for, and to the journalistic body in general.

The Syndicate stressed that the occupation authorities and its leaders bear full responsibility for this ongoing crime, and reiterated its emphasis on intensifying its efforts and endeavors to prosecute the leaders of the occupation for their crimes against journalists, especially their deliberate and documented killing of them.

And I pledged to the journalist body that the blood of the martyr and all the martyrs of journalism remain a trust in our necks so that the criminals get their punishment from justice.

The Syndicate saluted all journalists in the fields of work and sites of clash and friction for their insistence on continuing to carry out their national and professional duties, exposing the crimes of the occupation and presenting them to the public opinion, despite the high prices and the bloodshed they pay every day.

The Syndicate of Journalists also stressed that all journalists and press institutions must adhere to safety measures during field coverage, affirming commitment to the ethics of the journalistic honor code, and being wary of spreading rumors that aim to undermine the unity of the people that was embodied in the face of the aggression on all of Palestine.

For its part, the Voice of Al-Aqsa Radio announced on its Twitter page its press correspondent Abu Hussein, and said, "With all the meanings of sadness and grief that are endowed with patience and calculation, Sawt Al-Aqsa Radio mourns for our Palestinian people in general and the press family, especially its righteous son and Faris al-Kalima, the martyr Yusef Abu Hussein, who was ascended to the highest as a martyr."
