Data show that among the permanent residents of Beijing, there are 9.138 million registered households, of which 8.231 million are family households, accounting for 90.1%; and collective households are 907,000, accounting for 9.9%.

Family households have a population of 19.014 million, accounting for 86.9% of the permanent population; collective households have a population of 2.879 million, accounting for 13.1% of the permanent population.

The average household size of a family is 2.31 persons, which is 0.14 persons less than in 2010.

  According to the analysis by the Beijing statistics department, the size of households in Beijing continues to shrink, reflecting the gradual shift in the size of family households to a small and simple family model centered on two couples, and also reflecting a series of people’s marriage relationships and family raising patterns in the process of economic and social development Variety.

  In terms of sub-regions, the permanent population in the central city is 10.988 million, accounting for 50.2%. Among them, the permanent population in the core area is 1.815 million, accounting for 8.3%; the permanent population of the other ten districts is 10.905 million, accounting for 49.8%.

Compared with 2010, the permanent resident population in the central urban area decreased by 728,000, and the proportion of the permanent resident population in the city dropped by 9.5 percentage points. Among them, the permanent resident population in the core area decreased by 347,000, a decrease of 2.7 percentage points.

The permanent resident population of the other ten districts increased by 3.009 million, and the proportion rose by 9.5 percentage points. The regional population distribution was further optimized.
