Hungary rejects any "biased position" of the European Union against Israel

Hungary refused Tuesday to show its support for a statement by the European Union calling for a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians, saying that similar positions are "biased and unbalanced."

"I have a comprehensive problem with the European statements about Israel that they do not help much, especially in the current circumstances, when the tensions are so intense," Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Zigarto said in an interview with AFP on the sidelines of his visit to Paris.
