France is reopening its terraces and museums.

After six months of slow-moving life, the French can once again eat or drink on the terrace from Wednesday, the latter being limited to 50% of their capacity and to six people per table.

Restaurants and cafes will have to wait until June 9 to welcome dining room customers.

French cinemas, theaters and museums can once again welcome the public - masked - with maximum attendance figures.

And the start of the curfew is delayed by two hours, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

In recent days, coffee makers have been busy getting ready, delivered in crates of drinks and beer kegs, tidy terraces and installed.

Some have opened reservation slots, which have already been filled.

This partial lifting of the restrictions was decided in favor of a decrease in the circulation of the virus, which however remains high (around 14,000 new cases per day on average), and a ramp-up of the vaccination campaign in a country where the pandemic has killed 108,000 people.

The government has detailed the conditions linked to the first phase of deconfinement in France, by relaxing the health measures to allow a reopening of places of culture and terraces, in a decree published Wednesday in the Official Journal.

Only the terraces of restaurants and bars will have the right to reopen "

within the limit of 50% of their reception capacity

" and if "

the people received have a seat

 ", specifies the decree.

In addition, "the

same table can only bring together people coming together or having booked together, up to a limit of six people

 ", it is indicated.

The curfew is pushed back to 9 p.m. throughout the country.

Cinemas, party rooms and marquees may also reopen, without "

exceeding 35% of the establishment's capacity

".

Here too, “

a minimum distance of one seat or one meter

 ” must be ensured “

between each person or each group

”, within the limit of six people maximum.

Gatherings of more than ten people on public roads are prohibited, with the exception of guided tours.

The highly anticipated opening of concerts and shows is also subject to some restrictions: spectators must be seated, up to 35% of the workforce and not exceed 1,000 people.

The decree also eases the number of people authorized for funeral ceremonies, which now goes from 30 to 50 people.

It is also a return day for all businesses that had been closed for three and a half months of closure.

In the shops, everything has to be put back in order.

No more winter collections, summer is back on the shelves.

And it is also necessary to ensure the application of sanitary measures.

Because the virus continues to circulate, despite a decline.

So some shopping centers have redoubled their efforts to avoid contamination.

This is the case of that of Vélizy, in the Paris region.
