Summer Meet in Västerås postponed to August: "It is abandoned"

Today it was decided that the big car meeting is postponed until August, instead of driving as planned in early July.

SR Västmanland was the first to tell.

New dates for the meeting are now 12-14 August.

But depending on what restrictions will apply then, it is unclear whether it can be implemented at all.

- It is abandoned and difficult when you can not solve it yourself, when it is beyond your power, the uncertainty is difficult, says Klas Brink.

Many others have canceled completely

Several other car meetings have announced that they will cancel completely this summer.

The organizer of Västerås Summer Meet believes that if they can drive in August, there is a chance for a lot of people.

- I think it can be quite a lot of people as most have already canceled, in the days six other car meetings have been canceled completely, and if we can drive we are one of the few car meetings in Sweden, says Klas Brink.
