Shortly after noon on Tuesday, the Toulouse police were called to intervene in the Empalot district: a man took refuge in an apartment armed with knives.
He refuses to leave the accommodation on rue d'Antibes in which he is staying and which belongs to an association.
Faced with the potential danger, the police decided to send the members of the Raid, the elite intervention team, in particular to secure the premises.
After having parleyed for several minutes with this 49-year-old man, around 2:30 p.m., the police intervened and questioned him without incident.
He was taken into custody.
