After two weeks of personal lockdown, the national recommendations in Östergötland apply from now, Monday 17 May.

- It is extremely important that we continue to follow the recommendations now and we must always be prepared for the spread of infection to go up again quickly, says Britt Åkerlind, infection control doctor in the Östergötland Region in a press release.

The medical management is extended

The regional healthcare management has been active since October last year after the spread of infection increased again.

It is now extended to 31 August.

- We still have a very high burden on healthcare.

With a summer ahead of us, where we have a major challenge when it comes to staffing mainly care places, but also for infection tracking, vaccinations and sampling, we see that we need to remain in special health care management,, says Jessica Frisk, care director and health care manager in special healthcare management at regional level in the press release.
