Former France XV opener Frédéric Michalak has warned the Wallabies that his compatriots will be at their peak in July, when they come to seek a touring victory against the Australians.

France have not won in Australia since 1990 but Michalak, 77 caps, is convinced that the current squad will be both confident and very excited to be able to play three test matches in full stadiums, because "there is no has no audience at the moment in France ".

According to Michalak, who was speaking to reporters in Sydney, French rugby is reaping the dividends from its investment in developing young talent, and he stressed that the next European Champions Cup final will soon pit two clubs from the France, Toulouse and La Rochelle.

"The XV of France is young, but it has done very well in recent years in the Six Nations tournament. (...) It is the result of ten years of work. You will be surprised at how we play, whose ball we move, "he added, as if he was still part of the team.

"We have very, very fast players who can make a difference," said Michalak.

According to the top scorer in the history of the XV of France, the current team can draw inspiration from Argentina, who also had to play last year after a long quarantine, at the end of a long season.

The Pumas had managed to win in Sydney against the All Blacks (25-15), for the first time in their history, in the Rugby Championship.

France will play their first test against the Wallabies on July 7 in Sydney.

And she will stay in the same hotel as the Argentines, which is a good sign, according to Michalak.
