“During the telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, on his birthday,” the message says.
The Russian leader also spoke by phone with the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, during which the mutual commitment to strengthening Russian-Kazakh relations was confirmed.
Earlier, Putin and Tokayev exchanged congratulations on Victory Day.
