“Today the EU Council decided to extend the regime of restrictive measures against cyber attacks threatening the European Union and its member countries for one year, until May 18, 2022,” the European Council said in a statement.

The European Union introduced sanctions for the first time under the cybercrime regime on July 30, 2020.

The list includes citizens and organizations of Russia, China and North Korea for cyberattacks that threaten the European Union and member states.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has extended a number of sanctions against Russians and Russian companies.
