The first private tourist destination in Europe, Disneyland Paris will reopen to the public on June 17, the amusement park announced on Monday, which had been closed since October 30 due to the health crisis.

"We are pleased to announce that Disneyland Paris will reopen its doors from June 17, 2021 with the Disneyland Parks and Walt Disney Studios, the Disney's Newport Bay Club hotel and Disney Village," said the park located in Marne in a statement. -la-Vallée near Paris.

"Our reopening will be accompanied by appropriate health and safety measures", indicates the site without further details on the gauges which could be applied in terms of reception.

"Our measures continue to reflect the recommendations of the French authorities, demonstrating our ability to improve the visitor experience while providing a safe environment for all. As the French authorities recommend the wearing of an appropriate mask in all public places , Disneyland Paris asks all its visitors from 6 years old to wear one ", it is specified.

The park specifies that "health and safety" measures will be implemented throughout the site, "queues, shops, hotels, restaurants and other facilities".

"They will also be reinforced in the vehicles of the attractions. Certain shows, experiences or events will not take place or may be modified at the reopening depending on the evolution of the directives of the French and health authorities", indicates the press release.

The site - which employs some 17,000 people - no longer communicates its number of visitors since 2015, when it welcomed 14.8 million people.

"The current booking conditions allow great flexibility on stays and dated tickets", highlights Disneyland Paris.

After ceasing its activity between March 13 and July 15, 2020, Disneyland Paris was closed since October 30.

It had already repeatedly postponed its reopening, initially scheduled for February 13, then April 2, due to health restrictions.

In the United States, the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, south of Los Angeles, reopened at the end of April, with a gauge limited to 25% of the usual capacity.
