On the night of the 16th local time, Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, denied it over the comments of his tweet, when speculation that Tesla's Bitcoin holdings may have been sold.

Musk wrote on his Twitter account that night, "To be clear, Tesla didn't sell any bitcoins."

Prior to this, he posted an ambiguous comment, "Indeed," on a Twitter post by ID'Mr. Weil' about 10 hours ago.

"Bitcoin investors will blame themselves for learning that Tesla has sold the rest of their Bitcoin holdings in the next quarter," wrote Mr. Weil.

Musk's "really" comment on this may mean he agrees with the feelings he faces criticism, but it has also led to interpretations that it suggests that Tesla can dispose of all its bitcoins.

The actual bitcoin price plummeted more than 8% right after this tweet, slipping below $45,000 at one time, and the lowest since February of last year.

Even after Musk's belated tweet, the price of bitcoin seldom escapes the shock.

According to the cryptocurrency site CoinDesk, as of 3:35 p.m. Korean time, the bitcoin price is down 8.99% from 24 hours ago.
