May 17, 2021 Fifth Rescue for Sea-Eye 4. Another boat with 99 people was spotted overnight, most of whom claim to be from Syria. There are now about 330 refugees on the German NGO ship. "The crew works to the limit," says the NGO.

Unhcr, 650 reported to Tripoli by the Coast Guard


Over 650 people found at sea were reported to Tripoli yesterday by the Libyan Coast Guard: the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Libya reported on Twitter. The migrants had "departed aboard 4 rubber boats from Zwara, and were intercepted / rescued and brought back in two different landings", explains UNHCR, stressing that "urgent humanitarian and medical assistance" was offered.



Two landings in Lampedusa: 134 people arrived in a few hours

After an initial health triage, they were taken to the hotspot in the Imbriacola district, where, before the last arrivals, there were about 220 guests.
