Fulda / Frankfurt (dpa / lhe) - For those who have recovered and who have been completely vaccinated, the corona rules are relaxed nationwide.

The flip side of the coin are the increasing number of reports of those willing to vaccinate who want to obtain an early vaccination without justification and sometimes with false information.

In the Fulda district alone, this has apparently been successful in more than a dozen cases.

After allegations were raised that people had been vaccinated in the local vaccination center, although they did not belong to the first prioritization group, the district reportedly evaluated a vaccination list with 8,700 people.

«In 61 cases, further research was carried out on eligibility for vaccination and most of them were determined.

In 14 cases, the revision regards a vaccination authorization as doubtful, ”said the press office.

The district announced that the test report would be handed over to the Fulda public prosecutor's office.

Because the Corona Vaccination Ordinance does not provide any options for administrative offense proceedings.

"Only the public prosecutor's office can determine whether there is criminally relevant behavior."

Other vaccination centers in Hessen report individual cases in which people tried to press ahead with vaccination with false information. "Rarely but regularly it happens that people in the vaccination center without current vaccination authorization want to be vaccinated," said a press spokeswoman for the city of Frankfurt. The city of Kassel announced that there are a few people who were given a vaccination appointment due to an incorrect vaccination prioritization and who then had to be refused the vaccination. The city of Darmstadt also reports "a few individual cases". In the vaccination center of the district of Giessen there has so far only been one attempt.

Fake vaccination cards are another problem. In April, for example, the operator of the Frankfurt vaccination center became aware that fake vaccination cards were being offered on the Internet, which were allegedly issued at the Frankfurt vaccination center. "The matter was then reported directly to the Frankfurt police headquarters," said a city spokeswoman. In Gießen, Fulda, Darmstadt and Kassel, according to the respective press offices, there are no forged vaccination cards in circulation so far. However, the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) confirmed that the Hessian police are aware of isolated cases.

The LKA complains that the passports lack generally valid and standardized security features.

The creation of a forgery is easy, since blank vaccination certificates can be purchased on relevant online sales platforms for a few euros.

"You also need a stamp and adhesive label, which are also easy to forge or steal," explained a spokesman.

The LKA warns against posting vaccination records on social networks, as this makes work easier for the counterfeiters.
