The decision to stop hormone treatment for the reason is that they consider themselves to have very little facts about how hormone treatment affects a young person's body, and in addition it is considered uncertain whether a minor can review the consequences of the treatment.

Today, it is therefore important to live in the right region if you as a minor want gender-correcting treatment.

- Many young trans people are worried about whether they will have access to the care they need, but also in the trans community in general and how this in the long run can affect access to care, says Jêran Rostam, chairman of RFSL Ungdom.

Regarding the lack of scientific studies in the subject, Jêran Rostam answers as follows:

- There is already a lot of knowledge and experience, this is a care that has been conducted for a long time.

It is not possible to remove it while waiting for us to receive evidence-based research that also runs over a longer period of time, because then we are without care for many years before that research exists.
