China News Service, Guangzhou, May 15 (Wang Hualanwang) China Southern Power Grid Corporation issued a "White Paper" in Guangzhou on May 15, which stated that from 2021 to 2025, the average annual growth rate of the maximum load of the entire society in the five southern provinces will not Less than 6.5%; new energy will become the largest power source in five provinces.

The "China Southern Grid Corporation of China's Action Plan for the Construction of a New Power System (2021-2030) White Paper" (referred to as the "White Paper") deconstructed the energy use planning of the five southern provinces and regions including Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hainan, and Hong Kong and Macau The large-scale application of new energy is already in a trend.

At present, the non-fossil energy installed capacity and electricity of the regional power grid accounted for more than 50% for five consecutive years, ranking among the top in the world.

According to the "White Paper", by 2025, the proportion of non-fossil energy in the five southern provinces will reach more than 60%; in 2030, it will reach more than 65%.

Among them, new energy installed capacity reached more than 250 million kilowatts, becoming the largest power source.

According to the plan, by 2025, China Southern Power Grid will be able to add more than 24 million kilowatts of onshore wind power, more than 20 million kilowatts of offshore wind power, and more than 56 million kilowatts of photovoltaic access.

China Southern Power Grid predicts that during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), the average annual growth rate of the maximum load of the five provinces and regions will not be less than 6.5% and 3.5% respectively. To this end, multi-energy complementary power sources such as hydropower, nuclear power, and peak shaving gas power will be promoted.

During this period, the company will put into production of 5 million kilowatts and 15 million kilowatts of pumped storage, respectively 20 million kilowatts of new energy storage, and promote thermal power transformation, rationally deploy peak-shaving gas power, and improve system regulation capabilities.

In addition, guided by the market-oriented demand-side response transaction model, China Southern Power Grid will achieve a reduction of more than 5% of the peak load of the entire network by 2030.

It is worth mentioning that China Southern Power Grid will also promote port shore-to-shore power, airport land power, and diesel-to-electricity technology in key areas such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Hainan Free Trade Port; promote the use of electricity instead of oil in the transportation sector; , Construction and other fields to increase the application proportion of electric heating equipment, and promote the proportion of electric energy in the final energy consumption of the five southern provinces to increase from 32% in 2020 to more than 38% in 2030.
