Bad Essen (dpa) - In the dispute over children's noise, a 24-year-old is said to have attacked two neighbors with a knife and seriously injured them in Bad Essen, Lower Saxony.
The man arrested on Saturday has not yet commented on the allegations, said a police spokesman on Sunday.
According to the investigation, he first complained to a mother about the noise of her one-year-old son in an apartment building on Friday evening.
The child's 63-year-old grandmother and a 35-year-old neighbor joined in the dispute.
The 24-year-old is said to have seriously injured both of them.
After emergency operations, they were no longer in mortal danger, said the police spokesman.
According to the police, the 25-year-old jumped out of the window with her child “in need”, causing the mother to suffer a serious foot injury.
The suspect, who was caught in Preußisch Oldendorf (North Rhine-Westphalia), should be brought before the judge on Sunday.
He is accused of attempted manslaughter.
