The "Sunday Journal" reveals the findings of a report by investigators from the Central Office for Combating Corruption, Financial and Tax Offenses in connection with the investigation into the suspicion of fictitious employment of assistants of RN MEPs. According to this report, Marine Le Pen is designated as the "direct responsible" for the fraudulent system put in place.

After five years of investigation, Marine Le Pen finds himself at the center of the accusations in the case of suspicion of fictitious jobs of assistants of RN MEPs. According to the

Journal du dimanche

, the police officers of the Central Office for the fight against corruption and financial and fiscal offenses (OCLCIFF) insist in a summary report of February 15 on the role of the leader of the party, who would be the organizer and the beneficiary of the "fraudulent system" put in place.

The investigation was opened in March 2015 and entrusted at the end of 2016 to financial investigating judges from the Paris court.

The RN and its leaders are suspected of having embezzled envelopes granted by the EU to each member to pay his parliamentary collaborators, and this when these collaborators would have in fact worked for the frontist party.

The European Parliament, civil party, estimated its damage at 6.8 million euros in this case, recalls AFP.

About 25 elected officials and assistants, including Marine Le Pen, Jean-Marie Le Pen and party officials, are indicted in this case.

Marine Le Pen "has never set up a fraudulent system", according to her lawyer

This report, which was submitted to the examining magistrate Claire Thépaut, notes that the RN has "through its executives and managers, set up a fraudulent organized system of embezzlement of European funds for its benefit, by the through fictitious jobs of parliamentary assistants ". Still according to the

JDD

, these same investigators "believe they have discovered enough evidence for 17 leaders, elected officials and close to the RN to be prosecuted for 'embezzlement of public funds' or concealment of this offense".

The

JDD

indicates that the report contains several depositions contributing to "present Marine Le Pen as the direct responsible" of this fraudulent system. Questioned by the newspaper, the lawyer of the former presidential candidate, Rodolphe Bosselut, assures that the latter "has never set up a fraudulent system". "All the parliamentary assistants to the European Parliament mentioned in the instruction have worked at one time or another," he said again.
