In a statement posted on the LAS Facebook page, the league condemned Israel's actions against the Palestinians.
“We strongly condemn the war crimes and Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the barbaric attacks on the Gaza Strip,” the message says.
The statement emphasizes that Israel "bears full responsibility for the current aggressive war, escalation and all criminal activities."
On May 15, the military wing of the Palestinian movement Hamas announced that it had fired dozens of rockets towards Tel Aviv.
Later, the Israeli Air Force launched an airstrike on a 15-story building in the Gaza Strip.
