During the corona year 2020, the demand for dogs rose to new heights.

The number of newly registered dogs in Sweden increased by almost 11 percent according to statistics from the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

The Swedish Kennel Club, which maintains its own register, stated that they saw the largest increase in new registrations during the entire 2000s. 

And the puppy fever does not seem to subside, during January to April this year, almost 24,000 new puppies were registered in Sweden according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture - an increase of about 22 percent compared to the same period last year.
