Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - The two chairmen of the FDP Saxony-Anhalt, Lydia Hüskens and Marcus Faber, were re-elected to the party's top committees at the federal liberal party conference.

"We are pleased to be able to represent and bring the interests and the point of view of the people of Saxony-Anhalt so powerfully not only in the Bundestag, but also in the federal party," said Hüskens on Saturday.

The digital federal party congress of the FDP had re-elected the party's top candidate for the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt on Friday with 89 percent to the presidium.

Hüsken's co-chairman in Saxony-Anhalt, Member of the Bundestag Marcus Faber, was confirmed with 75.3 percent in the federal executive committee of the FDP.
