Bad Essen (AP) - After a life-threatening knife attack with two seriously injured people in Bad Essen in Lower Saxony, the police caught the alleged perpetrator.

The man was found and arrested by forces of the Osnabrück police in Preußisch Oldendorf in North Rhine-Westphalia, the police said.

The 24-year-old was wanted with a public manhunt.

He is said to have seriously injured a 34-year-old and a 63-year-old woman with knife wounds in an apartment building in Bad Essen on Friday evening.

The man had previously complained to a 25-year-old mother about child noise.

The dispute then escalated.

The injured are the 25-year-old's grandmother and a neighbor.

Both are now out of danger.
