Congo-Brazzaville has a new government

The President of Congo Brazaville, Denis Sassou-Nguesso.

Three days after being appointed Prime Minister, Anatole Collinet Makosso formed his government team, including one of the children of the Head of State Denis Sassou-Nguesso and an official of the Pan African Union for Social Democracy (UPADS) , the main opposition formation.

The new government has 36 members including four ministers of state.

There are eight women there.

Eleven personalities are joining this team which has several socio-economic challenges to overcome.

The most noticed entry is that of Denis Christel Sassou-Nguesso.

Son of the Head of State, he inherits a newly created portfolio, that of International Cooperation and the promotion of public-private partnership.

Another remarkable entry, that of Honoré Sayi, deputy and president of the UPADS opposition parliamentary group in the National Assembly.

This philosophy teacher becomes Minister of Energy and Hydraulics.

Minister of Finance between 2002 and 2005, Rigobert Roger Andely returned to this post.

Seven personalities were thanked;

including Henri Djombo who has been minister continuously since 1997.

Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso has been instructed to put his team to work "

 without delay

 ".
