Dingelstädt (dpa / th) - Despite the corona pandemic, Catholics are expected again this Sunday (9.15 a.m.) for the traditional women's pilgrimage to Kerbschen Berg near Dingelstädt.

It is already the 60th pilgrimage to Eichsfeld.

It is this year under the theme «Hope crazy life».

Due to the corona, participation in the three planned church services is only possible after prior registration.

The number of participants is also limited.

In addition, this year the Catholics should not run and pray together in groups as usual.

The sermon on the site in front of the former Franciscan monastery on Kerbschen Berg will be delivered by Erfurt Bishop Ulrich Neymeyr.

In 1961 women made a pilgrimage together for the first time on the Kerbschen mountain.

Traditionally, in recent years they made their way to the former Franciscan monastery with a hymn book, chair and picnic basket.

The name Kerbscher Berg goes back to «Kirchenberg» and refers to the fact that there was a church there very early on.
