A series of tornadoes broke out in China on the night of the 14th in Jiangsu and Hubei provinces in the east, killing a total of 12 people and injuring nearly 400.

According to state-owned China Central Television, a tornado broke out in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, in the east, around 7 pm local time on the 14th, killing four people and injuring 149.



In the video from the site, you can see how the tornado winds up the surrounding objects and how multiple buildings collapsed.



Inland Wuhan, Hubei Province, also suffered a tornado on the night of the 14th, killing eight people, injuring 230, and causing many houses to collapse.



China Central Television reports experts that the tornado occurred on the night of the 14th due to unstable atmospheric conditions over a wide area from the inland to the east.
