Oldenburg (dpa / lni) - Because of a one and a half day interruption in the cold chain, 500 vaccination doses made by the manufacturer Biontech / Pfizer have become unusable in the Oldenburg vaccination center.

The city administration spoke of a "serious error", which, however, had no effect on the vaccination appointments.
The vaccine from Biontech must be stored at extremely low temperatures.
Before the vaccination, he is then placed in a refrigerator to slowly adjust the substance to higher temperatures.
But this did not happen, said city spokesman Reinhard Schenke.
The vaccine had been stored for a day and a half at room temperature and was therefore unusable.
