Thousands of tons of food are thrown away wrong

- We do pick analyzes of the residual waste that we collect from villas and multi-family households.

Only 40 percent is right, the rest is mostly food and paper packaging, says waste strategist Tina Jörgensen at NSR.

Both paper and food can be recycled, but now large amounts are burned instead.

Our food leftovers are, for example, biogas and manure.

- If everyone had sorted correctly, we would have reduced the residual waste by 16,000 tonnes together.
