'Indian mutation' 4 deaths in UK... "There could be a setback in the easing of containment."

The English Department of Public Health says four people died from the Indian mutant virus from the 5th to the 12th local time.

The first case of death from an Indian mutation in the UK is known.

Vice Minister Nadim Jahawi, Vice Minister for Vaccination, said he would significantly expand testing in areas where the Indian mutation has occurred and vaccinate young people.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a briefing that "we will increase the vaccination interval for those over 50 and with chronic diseases from 12 weeks to 8 weeks."
