Helgoland (dpa) - Vacationers and day trippers can travel to Helgoland again from Monday.

Those who submit a negative test result could come back to Germany's only offshore island - regardless of whether for one or more days, the responsible district of Pinneberg announced on Friday.

Overnight guests must have a negative test result upon arrival, which must not be older than 24 hours for the rapid antigen test or 48 hours for the PCR test.

In addition, a new test is necessary at least every 72 hours.

There are therefore test offers on the island.

For a day trip to Heligoland, a negative test result that is not older than 48 hours is sufficient.

The test does not apply to those who have been vaccinated, who have recovered or who have not yet reached the age of 6.
