On Friday, Israeli fighter jets bombed the headquarters of the Palestinian "production" bank, next to the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, completely destroying it.

The head of the government media office in Gaza, Salameh Maarouf, said that the initial estimates of losses as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip amounted to 73 million dollars.

Maarouf indicated during a press conference that there were direct losses of $ 15 million in economic and commercial facilities as a result of the bombing, including the bombing of 3 local banks' headquarters.

Maarouf stated that the Israeli occupation army bombed 60 government headquarters, which varied between police and security headquarters and service facilities.

In addition, more than 500 housing units were completely destroyed.

Destruction of a commercial bank

Eyewitnesses reported to Anadolu Agency that Israeli warplanes targeted the bank’s headquarters near the "Shifa" hospital in Gaza City, completely destroying it.

The witnesses stated that the destruction of the bank caused severe damage to the homes of neighboring citizens, and led to the outbreak of a fire in the place.

Medical staff and civil defense headed to the area, where patients in the hospital and citizens were in a state of panic, according to witnesses.

There was no immediate comment from the Gaza authorities about the Israeli bombing, and whether it left casualties until 14:55 GMT.

The Production Bank is one of the Palestinian banks located in the Gaza Strip, where it is run by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, the number of victims of the continuous violent Israeli raids on the Strip since Monday evening has risen to 122 martyrs, including 31 children and 20 women, in addition to 900 injuries.

The situation in all the Palestinian territories has exploded as a result of "brutal" attacks committed by the police and Israeli settlers since April 13 in Jerusalem, especially the Bab al-Amud area, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings, and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, where Israel wants to evacuate 12 Palestinian homes and hand them over to settlers.
