Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The collective bargaining for around 3,000 employees in the cooperative wholesale trade in Brandenburg began on Friday.

The Verdi union criticizes the lack of offers from employers.

In view of the extreme additional workload on employees on the one hand and the very strong profits of companies in the corona pandemic, this is disappointing, said Verdi negotiator Franziska Foullong.

The employers would have to show their appreciation in the form of a noticeable table-effective wage increase.

That is not enough with one-off payments.

Verdi is calling for wages, salaries and training allowances to be increased by 6 percent, but at least by 150 or 70 euros, for a period of twelve months.

In addition, a minimum fee of 12.50 euros per hour is to be paid.

The negotiations will resume on June 15th.
