Barry Jenkins, Oscar winner for "Moonlight" in 2017, signs his plans with an implacable aesthetic and requires spectators to look the actors in the eye, as if to force them to contemplate the story of slavery in the face.

Beyond the pain and horror that punctuate the series, the director also portrays a network of mutual aid between slaves.

To be found on Prime Video.

"The War of the Worlds" returns for a second season on Canal +. The series is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by HG Wells - released in 1898 - where humanity is confronted with alien invaders. Under the direction of Howard Overman, Gabriel Byrne and Lea Drucker fight for their survival. The director and screenwriter has opted for a sober apocalypse-style staging near you, which resonates with the current pandemic, as Léa Drucker confided to Nina Masson.

TF1 is putting its side on a completely different atmosphere with Audrey Fleurot, who plays a single mother high in color and in IQ in "HPI" - for "high intellectual potential". By a combination of circumstances, her character of Morgane Alvaro finds herself a consultant for the police. With her IQ of 160, she helps the police to carry out their investigations when she herself is often overwhelmed by everyday life and her three children. The series is a hit with audiences in France with more than ten million spectators every Thursday; in Europe, it slips on the third step of the podium.

And then the actors of "Friends" meet for a final episode, 17 years after their last adventures!

In this unique occurrence, titled "The One Where They End Up," the characters of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey will be joined by a lineup of celebrities, from Lady Gaga to Kit Harrington, including Justin Bieber and David. Beckham.

Check out May 27 on HBO.
