Today, Monday, US State Department spokesman Ned Price attacked the missile attacks that the Palestinian resistance factions responded to the Israeli violations in Jerusalem, saying they were an "unacceptable escalation," after the occupation forces attacked worshipers in and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque;

Which resulted in hundreds of injuries in their ranks.

Price made the statement at a regular press conference, adding that the United States is "fully engaged" in promoting efforts to calm in Jerusalem.

The Foreign Ministry expressed its concern about the situation in Israel and the Gaza Strip and the clashes in Jerusalem and the Noble Sanctuary, and urged all parties to calm down.

The spokesman stressed that Israel has the right to defend itself, explaining that the United States is fully committed to working to calm the situation in Jerusalem.

Serious concerns

For its part, the White House today expressed serious concerns about "acts of violence" in occupied East Jerusalem, amid escalating tensions against the backdrop of the Israeli forces' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

We continue to closely monitor the violence in Israel, and added, "We have serious concerns about the situation, including the violent confrontations that we have witnessed over the past few days," White House spokeswoman Jane Saki said.

Saki indicated that National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan reiterated concerns about the possibility of Palestinian families being evicted from their homes.

For his part, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called on Monday - in a brief press conference with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi - all parties to reduce the escalation in Jerusalem and to take urgent steps to end the tension.
