Zehdenick (dpa / bb) - A 23-year-old man from Eritrea was injured in a right-wing extremist attack in Zehdenick (Oberhavel district).

The North Police Department announced on Friday that he had to be taken to a hospital.

The alerted officials found three men, aged 36 to 37, who were under the influence of significant alcohol.

According to the information, the 37-year-old did not want to present his identification documents after the incident on Thursday evening and tried to hit and kick the officers.

As a result, he had to be handcuffed.

One officer was injured but is still fit for duty.

The 36-year-old meanwhile, according to the police, continued to abuse the 23-year-old and shouted the Hitler salute.

Both men were taken into custody to prevent further crime.

The third suspect is said to have behaved calmly and cooperatively.

Several criminal charges were filed, including for resisting law enforcement officers, sedition and assault.
