When the summer heat came during Christ's ascension, it was clearly visible on the boat traffic.
On Thursday, thousands of people wanted to jump on the archipelago boats - many more than at the same time last year.
- In part, I think the weather is a factor.
If it gets very hot, you want to go out into the archipelago, even though we have recommendations that say you should not travel by public transport.
Actually, there are stricter restrictions this year, says Andreas Strömberg at the traffic administration's press service.
According to the traffic administration, the pressure was greatest at Strömkajen and in Nynäshamn.
What are your responsibilities when you know that the pressure will increase?
- We have a responsibility to follow the traffic and as far as possible we will move the passengers who have to travel by public transport.
We put in reinforcement tours but there is no guarantee that you will join.
There is still an overall recommendation that you should not travel by public transport.
