Buxtehude (AP) - The handball women of Buxtehuder SV have won their penultimate home game this Bundesliga season.

On Friday, the team of coach Dirk Leun defeated SV Union Halle-Neustadt with 31:23 (13: 9) and thus temporarily improved to eighth place in the table.

The most successful BSV throwers were Lynn Schneider, Lone Fischer and Liv-Charlotte Süchting with seven goals each.

The BSV initially struggled against the promoted team in the first round.

After the intermittent 5: 7 deficit, however, the hosts increasingly gained the upper hand and gained a clear lead until the break.

Almost eleven minutes before the end, the lead after a goal by Schneider was eight goals.

The decision was made in favor of the FSIO.
