Wilburgstetten (dpa / lby) - A 43-year-old worker was trapped in a machine in Wilburgstetten in Central Franconia and died of serious injuries.
Colleagues found the man lying lifeless next to the machine on Friday night, a police spokesman said.
Rescue workers could only determine the death of the man.
The accident took place in a company that manufactures animal bedding products.
There the worker was employed on a filling machine during the night shift.
Investigations by the criminal police revealed that the fatal accident was preceded by “improper use of the machine”.
