On Friday afternoon, a political demonstration started on Stortorget in Växjö. At 4.30 pm, an estimated 200 people attended the gathering. According to P4 Kronoberg, they are demonstrating to show their support for the Palestinians due to the unrest in Palestine and Israel.
Most police patrols are on site at Stortorget, but no decision has yet been made to disband the demonstration.
At present, the police are trying to talk to the people on the spot to get them to leave voluntarily, among other things for the sake of the pandemic law.
The demonstrators have not been granted permission for the rally.
