Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lrs) - 197 new corona cases were reported in Saarland within 24 hours.

The incidence rose again slightly from 101.4 the previous day to 101.8, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin on Friday (as of 3:10 a.m.)

There were no other deaths related to the virus.

Since the pandemic began, a total of 974 deaths and 39 418 infections have been reported in Saarland.

In a comparison of the regions, the Saarlouis district had the highest incidence - i.e. the number of new infections within the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants - at 131.2.

The St. Wendel district had the lowest value at 55.2.
